Established in February 2014, SSAS Reviews has been providing accurate and efficient technical and administrative support to Small Self Administered Schemes for the past 5 years.
SSAS Reviews has held suitable Professional Indemnity Insurance for the services it provides since March 2014 and is a full Member of the Association of Member Directed Pension Schemes (AMPS).

Phil - SSAS Specialist and Director
After graduating in 2010 with a BA (Hons) in Accounting from Sheffield Hallam University, Phil took up his first role in Pensions as an Administrator for Hornbuckle Mitchell's SIPP Audit Review and Maintenance Team. Phil quickly progressed through various SIPP administration roles before taking the opportunity to join Hornbuckle Mitchell's SSAS Team at the end of 2011.
- 2012-13 Phil spent 9 months working as a Trainee IFA for Phillip Bates & Co Financial Services Limited.
- 2013-14 Phil spent 11 months as a SSAS Account Manager working in James Hay's Manchester office and when they centralised their SSAS Administration to Bristol, he seized the opportunity and established SSAS Reviews.
As well as holding an Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Phil is a qualified member of the Chartered Insurance Institute's Life and Pensions Faculty and holds the Award in Pension Trusteeship (Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Schemes) from the Pensions Management Institute.
Maria - Office Manager
Maria completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in Food Manufacture in 2009 and has been working part time in the background at SSAS Reviews since it was established. Maria's non-pension background provides invaluable feedback when developing our client facing documents and customer service techniques.
Maria is training to be a SSAS Administrator and is currently working towards the Award in Life and Pensions Foundations with the Chartered Insurance Institute.
